Description and Requirements
Duties
This is an entry‑level production role. Under close supervision, the position involves routine, repetitive production operations that may include wire straightening, grinding, assembly, and coil production. Most roles require sitting 60–75% of the time, while some require standing for the full shift.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of machining experience preferred
- Strong documentation skills with attention to detail when recording work or measurements
- Basic math skills related to product and material measurements
- Ability to count and perform basic addition and subtraction using both English and metric measurement systems
- Ability to read and understand English for safety purposes and to complete internal forms
- Ability to understand verbal instructions from supervisors in English
- Ability to use some power tools and perform light lifting and carrying (up to 20 lbs)
- Ability to measure small wires using a ruler and inspect very small parts with or without a microscope
- Good manual dexterity for handling small parts and performing production tasks
- Effective communication skills
- Good eyesight or corrected vision
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to read blueprints is an asset
