Compensation Range:$23-25/hr
Our client, in the insurance industry is seeking a Broker/Admin professional to join our dynamic team in based out of our Yaletown location. In this role you will help with the day-to-day operations of the office as well as work on various client files to grow your experience and knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls on the digital switchboard system.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail Including scanning, uploading to Epic and distributing as required.
- Distribute copies to the appropriate recipients (producers, accounting, or the addressee).
- Monitor and manage the general email accounts, responding and/or forwarding messages as required.
- Process and deposit payments.
- Prepare Certificates of Insurance (COI) including mailing and electronic storage
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all insurance policies and correspondences in the company’s database (EPIC).
- Maintain strong relationships with clients by and providing exceptional customer service.
- You will be working with our high-performing team supporting our topend brokers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest insurance products, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
- Maintain accurate and organized client files following proper techniques for storage and recording.
- Collaborate with a team of insurance professionals, sharing knowledge, providing support, and contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Post-secondary education and/or equivalent on the job experience.
- Preferred - 1 year of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on commercial & Personal lines insurance.
- Must have your General Insurance License Level 1 in BC and be willing to obtain a Level 1 License for Alberta.
- Good understanding of insurance products, regulations and best practices.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine passion for helping others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative mindset, working effectively within a team to achieve shared goals while fostering a positive and supportive work culture.
- Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office 365 and EPIC (Broker Management System).
