Our multinational gaming client is seeking a highly motivated Character Rigger. In this role, you will help bring the artistic vision of the project to life by rigging game assets essential to the animation systems. This is an opportunity to contribute to a world‑class game development team and work on high‑impact, visually compelling content.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Rigging Lead to create rigged assets that meet technical guidelines for the target platform and engine
  • Follow direction from the Rigging Lead and seek feedback from peers and art leads as needed
  • Troubleshoot rigged assets, resolve content issues, and test on the target platform
  • Participate in team meetings to maintain strong communication and alignment
  • Consistently meet project deadlines and milestones set by project leads
  • Document new rigging tools, techniques, and workflows as required
  • Contribute positively and creatively to the team environment

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional rigging experience or equivalent
  • AA/BFA preferred, or a portfolio demonstrating industry‑standard rigging skills
  • Proficiency in Maya with the ability to learn new tools and processes quickly
  • Strong understanding of human and animal anatomy
  • Clean, efficient smooth‑skinning practices
  • Passion for the gaming industry and awareness of industry trends and technologies
  • Proactive work ethic and strong problem‑solving abilities
  • Willingness to learn in‑studio workflows and tools
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 5 (asset)
  • Python scripting knowledge (asset)
  • Experience with MotionBuilder (asset)
  • Knowledge of cloth simulation or related systems (plus)
