We are looking for a Manager, Applied Machine Learning for our client in North America. This is a permanent, full-time, remote role.

Machine Learning is a crucial part of the company's mission to make commerce better for everyone. We organize and interpret petabytes of data to build state of the art merchant- and buyer- facing products powered by ML.

As an Applied Machine Learning expert, you'll be at the forefront of training and deploying ML systems at scale, directly empowering our merchants with products that help them run their business.

The company is in a unique position to build state-of-the-art ML systems using the resources of a world class e-commerce leader. The number of applications for ML systems is vast, and there are many different product lines looking for Applied ML Experts.

Key outputs
  • Developing, deploying, and maintaining end-to-end machine learning systems at scale
  • Producing system design and architecture of scalable AI/ML systems
  • Designing and implementing robust data pipelines for training models and fine-tuning LLMs
  • Solving high-impact data problems, and delivering business impact through data and machine learning products
  • Prioritizing and communicating to technical and non-technical audiences alike
  • Mentoring senior data scientists

You might be great in this role if you have:
  • End-to-end experience of training, evaluating, testing and deploying machine learning products at scale
  • Experience building data pipelines and driving ETL design decisions leveraging disparate data sources
  • Comfort with working in Object Oriented Programming
  • Experience with running machine learning in parallel environments (e.g. distributed clusters, GPU optimization)

The indicated pay range for this position is a good-faith estimate based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Additionally, it is emphasized that the pay band mentioned herein is the one established by the client company. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work. Most candidates will start at the bottom half of the pay range, with the upper end reserved for candidates with extensive experience and skills and who live in geographic markets commanding a higher starting pay.
