Employee Relations Specialist (Remote – U.S.)

Contract Opportunity | 6+ Months (Potential Extension/Conversion)

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading technology solutions and services organization to hire an experienced Employee Relations Specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative HR team supporting a workforce of ~1,200 employees across the U.S.

You’ll play a critical role in managing employee relations matters across the full employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on performance management, investigations, and compliance initiatives.


What You’ll Be Doing

As part of a close-knit HR/Employee Relations team, you will:

  • Manage employee relations cases including disciplinary actions and investigations
  • Lead and support performance improvement plans (PIPs) and employee performance concerns
  • Handle end-of-employment processes (terminations, restructuring, workforce reductions)
  • Partner with HR and leadership on sensitive employee conversations, including termination calls
  • Support policy development and handbook updates
  • Assist with compliance-related activities, including reporting and customer contract requirements (RFPs)
  • Contribute to HR data reporting and analysis using Excel and HRIS tools
  • Provide light support on immigration-related processes (minimal volume)

What We’re Looking For

✔️ 3–5+ years of Employee Relations experience
✔️ Strong background in:

  • Terminations & disciplinary processes
  • Workforce reductions / restructuring
  • Mergers & acquisitions (M&A) exposure preferred

✔️ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – comfortable handling sensitive conversations
✔️ Strong analytical and reporting skills (advanced Excel required)
✔️ Experience working with HRIS systems (reporting and data extraction)
✔️ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment


Nice to Have

  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce
  • Familiarity with compliance reporting and employment regulations
