Position Overview:

The Director of Sales Operations and Analytics will lead the sales operations function, driving efficiency, productivity, and insight-driven decision-making across the sales organization. This role is critical in optimizing sales processes, managing tools and technology, ensuring accurate sales forecasting, and providing deep analytical insights that support strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate will have a blend of operational leadership, technical expertise in data analytics, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to support both immediate sales needs and long-term strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Operations Leadership:
    • Oversee the daily operations of the sales team, focusing on process optimization and efficiency improvements.
    • Lead initiatives to streamline workflows, improve sales productivity, and reduce operational bottlenecks.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Finance, IT) to align processes and ensure sales goals are supported.
  2. Sales Analytics and Reporting:
    • Build and manage a comprehensive sales reporting framework, delivering actionable insights to leadership and the broader sales team.
    • Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline metrics, and performance dashboards.
    • Provide analysis on sales trends, customer data, and market conditions to support decision-making.
  3. Sales Technology and Tools:
    • Manage and optimize CRM systems, sales automation tools, and other technologies that support the sales team.
    • Partner with IT to implement new tools and ensure proper integration with existing systems.
    • Continuously assess and improve the tech stack to enhance team performance and reporting capabilities.
  4. Process Improvement and Strategy:
    • Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and scalability.
    • Support the development and execution of sales strategies, ensuring alignment with broader company goals.
    • Drive the creation of scalable processes to enable rapid growth and market expansion.
  5. Data Validation and Integrity:
    • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of sales data across all systems.
    • Implement and monitor data validation processes to guarantee the reliability of reporting and analytics.
    • Regularly audit sales data to prevent discrepancies and maintain high standards of data quality.
  6. Team Leadership:
    • Lead a team of sales operations and analytics professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and career development opportunities.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making within the team.
    • Act as a strategic partner to sales leadership in planning, performance management, and goal setting.
  7. Performance Measurement and KPIs:
    • Define, track, and communicate key sales performance metrics.
    • Work with sales leadership to define targets, quotas, and goals that align with overall business objectives.
    • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of sales initiatives and recommend adjustments based on data analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 8+ years of experience in sales operations, sales analytics, or a related role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
    • Proven track record of managing and scaling sales operations in a high-growth environment.
    • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics platforms.
  • Skills:
    • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, modeling, and automation.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
    • Experience with data validation techniques to ensure the accuracy and integrity of reporting.
    • Power BI proficiency is strongly preferred, or a demonstrated ability to learn and implement advanced data visualization tools.
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
    • Familiarity with sales forecasting, compensation planning, and territory management.

  • Experience in the skincare, beauty, or wellness industries.
  • Familiarity with other advanced data analytics tools.
  • Experience working closely with field sales teams and cross-functional departments.
