Job Description:
- Provides technical support to engineers and scientists on a variety of technical tasks. Develops and recommends procedures and methods and prepares technical reports and documentation. Performs technical evaluations of events to determine root cause; recommends corrective action. Responsibilities are within the Technical Specialty/Skilled Trade Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines.
- The position will require performing pre-defined procedures to complete accelerated life testing on various medical devices and consumables.
- Recording test data and documenting observations clearly is essential.
- Successful candidates will be able to complete testing with minimal supervision following training and communicate independently with other test lab personnel and internal stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, good time management and prioritization, consistent communication between shifts and during shifts
- A typical day will include performing pre-defined testing on various medical devices, consoles, and consumables while ensuring movement of tests between device washing and autoclave steps.
- Due to the size of the shift, most days will require semi-independent reprioritization depending on workload and test availability.
- The candidate will communicate with internal stakeholders and other test lab personnel. Inter-shift communication will be primarily verbal. Communication with internal stakeholders will require descriptive electronic communication.
Requirements:
- Previous medical device testing or experience in a regulated industry is a plus.
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Strong oral and written communication
- High attention to detail
- This position requires knowledge that is acquired through experience, specialized education or training.
- The role has clearly defined procedures and tasks as well as defined guidelines to aid in decision making.
- The job requires a basic understanding of work routines and procedures in own discipline.
- The technical procedures for this level are well defined.

- Mechanical, Electrical, or Software troubleshooting
