Compensation Range: 47$/hr to 55$/hr
Our Fortune 500 client is seeking a Tax Analyst III.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, analyze, and accurately update tax calculations and forms within the software by creating a detailed specification for engineers.
- Test tax calculations/user experience/form display changes within the software.
- Apply tax, accounting and business knowledge to develop/improve new software features.
- Work with federal/provincial tax authorities to certify our tax products.
- Participate in the development and documentation of key operational processes and checklists, and product specifications.
- Work with customer support representatives to resolve customer issues and deal directly with clients, as needed.
- Continually assess and drive process and tool improvements.
- Able to effectively prioritize individual and team work to ensure delivery of product features with the highest quality and customer value.
Qualifications (Experience and Training):- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance or equivalent relevant work experience
- Experience preparing and reviewing federal and provincial tax returns, such as T1/TP-1
- Strong background in tax research and analysis and a deep understanding of Canadian tax law.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information and complex tax issues in non-technical language for consumption inside and outside of the organization
- Comprehensive understanding and use of tax preparation software (experience using TaxCycle, TaxPrep and ProFile is an asset).
- Proficient with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Prior programming/coding experience is a strong asset
- Experience with Agile/SCRUM and IT project management
