Our client is seeking a "Manager, Policies and Compliance".


Reporting to the Legal Counsel, this role is primarily accountable for the oversight of the policy management and compliance program, and leading the company’s Standard program. The Standard, with a goal of enhancing operational efficiency and delivering an exceptional customer experience, includes a comprehensive set of Rules and Regulations for the operators. The incumbent will also oversee the review, update, and auditing and reporting of the policy management and compliance program.



Responsibilities:


  • Lead the Company’s Standard program including support for key critical initiatives targeted at increased external and internal compliance
  • Support the business unit teams to implement the charters for areas that will benefit from increased accountability, resources, and compliance
  • Update senior leadership and the community on the Standard program through relevant reports and metrics including the quarterly progress reports
  • Implement the Compliance Reporting Program
  • Support the development of a robust compliance environment
  • Coordinate the creation, review, timely update, and storage of the policies
  • Provide appropriate training and education to the business about risk mitigation, compliance, and best practices
  • Lead people by providing coaching, guidance and development by providing relevant feedback for personal and career growth. 



Qualifications:


  • Post-secondary diploma in Business, Economics, Project Management, Communications or related field
  • Three (3) years experience in business, project management, communications, economics or related fields
  • Two (2) years of people management or people leadership
  • Experience in data governance roles, working with senior leadership and in risk management role considered an asset
  • Demonstrated experience working in a customer centric environment
  • Ability to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position
  • Ability to implement high-level programs and think strategically
  • Ability to work cross-functionally while gaining alignment and consensus with partners
  • Excellent communicator (verbal and written) with superior interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to present and communicate to senior level management
  • Strong ability to lead and balance multiple, complex, and opposing priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent teammate who can influence as part of an impactful team
  • Ability to take initiative and be resourceful
  • Strong planning and organizing skills

Most candidates will start at the bottom half of the pay range, with the upper end reserved for candidates with extensive experience and skills and who live in geographic markets commanding a higher starting pay.
