Compensation Range: $65 per hr. - $70 per hr.

Our client, an IT and Engineering firm in North York, is looking for a Hardware Designer - Technical Specialist. This is a hybrid 4-month contract.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrating a high degree of initiative, and resourcefulness in solving problems.
  • Good understanding of SelTrac signal plans and SelTrac Radio equipment.
  • Demonstrating an advanced level of logical reasoning resulting in effective hardware application designs, products and processes.
  • Interpreting and the ability to write Requirements.
  • Preparing specifications for hardware and/or software components.
  • Proficient with the use of development tools, CAD packages (MicroStation, AutoCAD)
  • Selecting an appropriate design approach
  • Maximizing use of existing design.
  • In possession or previously possessed Thales CMS Designer or Principles License

Minimum Requirements: 
  • Post secondary Technologist diploma or Electrical Engineering degree
  • 8 – 12 years related work experience
  • Computer literate with knowledge of CAD tools (MicroStation, AutoCAD), Bills of Materials, (SAP), Configuration Management, Thales (ClearQuest), and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Good interpersonal and technical writing skill

The indicated pay range for this position is a good-faith estimate based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Most candidates will start at the bottom half of the pay range, with the upper end reserved for candidates with extensive experience and skills and who live in geographic markets commanding a higher starting pay.
