Our client, a non profit organization, is seeking a Director of Real Estate and Operations. The Director will drive strategic planning across procurement, facilities management, and key vendor agreements.  A critical aspect of this role is fostering collaboration with internal stakeholders and integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance practices into the organization’s operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the property portfolio, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and operational needs.
  • Manage facilities operations, including maintenance schedules, and space optimization.
  • Lead strategic vendor negotiations and maintain partnerships related to corporate travel, purchasing agreements, and other essential services.
  • Partner with Executive Directors to ensure facilities and operational strategies align with program requirements.
  • Collaborate with compliance teams to embed ESG principles into operations and organizational culture.
  • Develop and implement cost-efficient procurement processes that support organizational goals.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Real Estate, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8-10 years of experience in facilities management, property operations, or corporate services, with 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex vendor relationships and contracts, including corporate travel and procurement.
  • Knowledge of inclusive design standards and accessibility requirements.
  • Experience leading ESG initiatives in alignment with organizational strategies.
  • Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills.

Most candidates will start at the bottom half of the pay range, with the upper end reserved for candidates with extensive experience and skills and who live in geographic markets commanding a higher starting pay.
