Compensation: $90 (T4) to $105 (INC) per hour
Our client, a Fortune 500 organization, is seeking a Communications Manager. This is a key leadership opportunity for a high‑performing, collaborative communications professional who will act as a strategic partner to the Canadian business. The successful candidate will shape the brand narrative and enhance reputation through integrated public relations, social media, and influencer strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the integrated communications vision and strategy, including public relations, social media, and influencer marketing, in collaboration with senior stakeholders and agency partners
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal leaders, building strong relationships to ensure alignment and drive business outcomes
- Develop integrated, end‑to‑end marketing and communications strategies with cross‑functional teams
- Define KPIs and oversee the creation of comprehensive campaign performance reports, translating insights into actionable recommendations
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams across borders to ensure alignment
- Lead public relations strategy, managing PR agencies and building key media relationships to secure impactful coverage
- Oversee development and execution of a data‑driven social media strategy to increase brand visibility, engagement, and business growth
- Manage the influencer marketing program from strategy and identification to execution and performance analysis
- Monitor social media trends, conversations, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and inform content and PR strategies
- Manage budgets for social media, influencer, and PR programs, ensuring optimal resource allocation
Qualifications & Skills
- 8–10+ years of progressive experience in a fast‑paced corporate or agency environment (consumer tech or financial sectors preferred)
- Proven track record developing and executing innovative, integrated communications strategies that increase brand awareness and customer consideration
- Extensive experience managing influencer programs from strategy through analysis
- Demonstrated expertise in leading social media strategy with deep knowledge of major platforms and their audiences
- Exceptional ability to influence and collaborate with cross‑functional teams and senior leadership
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to inform strategy and measure ROI
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling narratives and present to executive audiences
- Hybrid role based in Toronto, requiring three days per week onsite
