Duration: 6-Month Contract
Schedule: Standard Work Day
Pay Rate: $42 - $46 per hour
Work Type: Onsite/Hybrid (based on business needs)

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to support the operational planning and logistics coordination of its Energy Battery Systems business.

This role serves as the central coordinator for the ordering and delivery process, ensuring alignment across Sales, Program Operations, Digital Product, Supply Chain, and Finance teams. The successful candidate will manage planning cadences, maintain critical operational data, support demand and supply alignment, and ensure the integrity of forecasting, inventory, and logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Process Coordination
  • Manage the monthly logistics and planning calendar, including meetings, follow-ups, and stakeholder communications
  • Coordinate and consolidate inputs from cross-functional teams including:
    • Sales
    • Program Operations
    • Supply Chain
    • Digital Product
    • Finance
  • Ensure all planning activities are executed according to established timelines and operating cadences
  • Track action items, decisions, and deliverables, ensuring accountability and timely completion
Demand Planning & Supply Alignment
  • Enter and maintain demand forecasts within SAP order tracking systems
  • Support demand-to-supply alignment through allocation planning and inventory management processes
  • Monitor forecast changes, inventory status, customer exceptions, and delivery commitments
  • Support planning adjustments related to:
    • Customer opt-outs
    • Returns
    • Supply constraints
    • Inventory changes
    • Data Management & Reporting
  • Maintain the organization's "single source of truth" for ordering and delivery activities
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of:
    • Dashboards
    • Forecast files
    • Order trackers
    • Planning reports
    • Decision logs
  • Publish and distribute logistics reports, planning summaries, and operational updates
  • Support data analysis and reporting activities using Excel and business intelligence tools
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
  • Create and maintain:
    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Process documentation
    • Training materials
    • Onboarding resources
  • Identify process gaps and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Facilitate communication between teams to resolve operational issues and improve workflow efficiency
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in:
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Business Administration
    • Operations Management
    • Logistics
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree OR 3+ years of relevant experience with an advanced degree
  • Experience supporting planning, operations, logistics, program management, or supply chain functions
Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of:
    • SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning)
    • S&OP processes

  • Experience with:
    • SAP
    • Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reporting)
    • Power BI or similar business intelligence tools

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
