Compensation Range: $50K - $53K + 2 weeks vacation + benefits
Our client, a national charity that provides a wide range of services to people with disabilities, is seeking an "Event Coordinator."
Reporting to the National Manager, Events and Fundraising, the Event Coordinator will assist in the day-today operations of the Event team. This could include participating in the planning and delivery of in person and online fundraising events.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Events team with coordination, management and execution of upcoming signature events and community fundraising projects.
- Support the organization, promotion and implementation of new and existing special events and community fundraising projects.
- As part of the Events team, assist with the planning and execution of fundraising activities, including the sourcing of new auction products for signature events.
- Support the development of third-party and peer-to-peer fundraising opportunities.
- Maintain supporter records for associated special events and fundraising activities in donor CRM database, ensuring data accuracy.
- Develop and distribute materials for event stewardship (thank you letters, emails, reports, cards).
- Cultivate potential event donors and partnerships for the signature events.
- Work with outside vendors and manage communications and invoice payment.
- Research into vendors, auction ideas, event concepts and other event-related topics.
- Coordinate creation of event collateral (social media, program books, websites, etc.) with Digital Fundraising and Marketing and Communications teams.
- Ensure accurate tax receipting for Event donors.
- Attend Event team meetings and take minutes.
- Coordinate work of summer students and seasonal temps.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in office administration or customer service is required.
- Event management, production or staffing experience is preferred.
- Creative thinker with desire to expand their skillset.
- Ability to work in a team and/or independently.
- Ability to work with people in all walks of life, from C-Suite executives to volunteers.
- Comfortable working with people with disabilities.
- Exceptional communications and written skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills
- Attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic conversational ability in French desired but not required.
- Availability for some evenings and weekends during event season.

The indicated pay range for this position is a good-faith estimate based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Additionally, it is emphasized that the pay band mentioned herein is the one established by the client company. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work. Most candidates will start at the bottom half of the pay range, with the upper end reserved for candidates with extensive experience and skills and who live in geographic markets commanding a higher starting pay. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
