Our leading financial client is looking for a Director. The Digital Paid Media team, within Digital Commerce, is an in-house team responsible for executing digital performance marketing across Programmatic, Search and Social channels. The team works closely with the Media and Marketing Communications teams as well a number of internal and external partners and is responsible for integrating digital media into annual and tactical media and marketing communications plans. The team manages budget, works directly in-platform, and is responsible for ensuring cross-channel digital media optimization.  

Responsibilities:
  • Inspirational Leader - Lead a team of up to 20 paid media experts, driving team strategy, operational efficiency and marketing effectiveness. The team is eager to lean on you for support in development, new challenges, and innovation. 
  • Strong Relationships - We work collaboratively with our Media and Marketing Communications teams on setting plans and budgets, developing tests and integrating this approach to media buying into our media and marketing strategy. 
  • Paid Media Excellence - Plan, manage and optimize budgets to optimize performance on ROI. Managing the team who are responsible for planning, delivery (through in-house capabilities), tracking and analysis of digital media initiatives as well as for generating insights to improve our cross-channel digital marketing performance.  
  • Driving Innovation - You are on top of cutting-edge industry innovation, continuously bringing new opportunities and trends to the table to drive our innovation mandate and seek new efficiencies or competitive advantages.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience working in Media Planning and Digital Marketing function at Advertising, Media Agency or Marketing Department 
  • Solid experience and demonstrated ability in developing and leading strategic media/marketing plans for large budget and multi-media campaigns 
  • Sound experience in managing the fulfillment and interpretation of analytics, modeling, dashboards and KPIs to inform and enhance the effectiveness media strategies, measurement and reporting 
  • Solid understanding and experience with digital, mobile, and social media 
  • Understanding trends, terminology and measurement, programmatic and performance marketing 
  • University Bachelor's degree 
  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel skills 

Nice to Have: 
  • Experience building and leading processes within a collaborative team environment and managing complex timelines and calendars across multiple campaigns 
  • Experience in driving analytics, modeling, dashboards and KPIs to inform and enhance the effectiveness media strategies, measurement and reporting 
  • Experience executing marketing plans across multiple channels, with a focus on digital channels 
  • Working knowledge of retail branch and banking channel (ATM, Telephone Banking, Frontline Support) planning and execution 
  • Training or certification in Marketing or Advertising 
  • MBA 
  • Digital Certification (Media/Marketing)
