About the Role
A leading financial technology organization is seeking an Information Security Analyst II to join its growing Security Analytics team. This role is ideal for a highly analytical security professional who enjoys working with large datasets, building dashboards, and transforming complex information into actionable insights.
You will focus on evaluating security risks related to Generative AI, APIs, and data platforms—using quantitative analysis rather than policy enforcement or incident response. If you thrive on deep data exploration, investigative analysis, and shaping meaningful security metrics, this role offers a unique opportunity at the intersection of cybersecurity, analytics, and emerging AI technologies.
What You’ll Do
- Perform hands‑on data analysis using SQL and Python to identify trends, anomalies, and potential security risks
- Build and maintain dashboards and analytical reports summarizing security signals, aggregated metrics, and performance indicators
- Conduct investigative analysis into suspicious patterns and adversary behaviors related to Generative AI, APIs, and data usage
- Apply statistical and evaluation methods to develop meaningful metrics across large datasets
- Recommend and define security metrics that accurately represent risk posture and control effectiveness
- Translate analytical findings into clear insights for technical teams and business stakeholders
- Monitor and report on model behavior and control performance, highlighting emerging risks and trends
Note: This role is not focused on incident response or policy development. It is highly analytical and data‑driven.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in quantitative or data analysis using SQL and Python
- 2+ years of experience in Cybercrime, Fraud, Military Intelligence, or similar adversary‑focused domains
- Strong experience building dashboards and reporting tools
- Proven ability to work with large datasets and design meaningful aggregated metrics
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Generative AI / LLM models
- Experience with API protocols (HTTP, REST, GraphQL)
- Background in E‑commerce or Payments environments
