Job Title: Specialist, Solution System Integration – Windows
Location: Montreal (Onsite)
Job Type: 1-year (Contract)
Pay Rate: $45 - $49 per hour
Overview
Our client, a leading organization in the enterprise technology and infrastructure space, is seeking an experienced Specialist, Solution System Integration – Windows to support the design, integration, and deployment of complex infrastructure solutions.
This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in Windows-based environments and system integration, who can translate architectural designs into scalable, secure, and highly available solutions. You will play a key role in delivering end-to-end infrastructure implementations, ensuring seamless integration across systems and successful deployment into production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to technical solution architecture by evaluating existing infrastructure capabilities and identifying gaps
- Translate architecture into detailed infrastructure and system designs, ensuring seamless integration of all components
- Design and implement Windows-based infrastructure solutions, including:
- Active Directory and Group Policy (GPO)
- Monitoring and observability tools (e.g., SCOM)
- High availability, clustering, and virtualization
- Storage, backup, and disaster recovery
- Define and execute installation and configuration standards aligned with enterprise requirements
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate infrastructure and integration components
- Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot system and integration issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including system administrators, database administrators, and network engineers to ensure successful implementation
- Support application teams in integrating applications with infrastructure environments
- Define and execute deployment and cutover plans to ensure smooth transitions to production
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards including security, governance, and project methodologies
- Lead knowledge transfer and stabilization activities to ensure successful handover to support teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Equivalent hands-on experience may be considered
- 7+ years of experience in system integration, infrastructure engineering, or Windows-based environments
- Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise infrastructure solutions
- Strong expertise in:
- Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019)
- Active Directory and Group Policy (GPO)
- Monitoring tools such as SCOM
- Solid understanding of:
- Backup and recovery solutions
- Clustering and high availability
- Networking fundamentals
- Infrastructure monitoring and performance
- Experience with:
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform)
- CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
- Exposure to:
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Preferred Qualifications
