Summary:


Promote sales of all brands of hand pallet trucks sold. Maintain and grow current sales levels for existing dealers/customer accounts and manage all customer related issues. Establish new accounts by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on and promote our product line to an established list of potential customers.


Sell hand pallet trucks (HPTs) over the phone and in person, process orders, generate reports, arrange order shipments, assist walk-in customers, and prepare quotations as requested. Provide quick responsiveness and customer care attitude to ensure the company's mission statement is delivered. Perform other back up duties as required.


Key Responsibilities:


Telephone Sales/Customer Service


  • Handle all incoming sales calls and provide support and product information.
  • Process orders and work closely with the Office Manager to ensure timely delivery of all units
  • Back-up Office Manager during vacations/absences
  • Provide quotations and enter into CRM
  • Follow up on quotes sent
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results report, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans and monthly and annual analyses.
  • Adjust content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet, example Titan, Toyota, BT, Raymond and Altra Lift
  • Work with management team to market HPT products in Canada including trade shows, mail outs, etc.
  • Attend to walk-in customers
  • Maintain ongoing relationship with both potential and existing customers


Administration


  • Maintain customer records by updating email addresses and telephone information
  • Provide training and support to all dealers in order to increase awareness and offerings of the company's brand in Canada
  • Monitor customer support emails and ensure to respond in a timely manner
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigation problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, make recommendations to management
  • Recommend changes to products, service and warranty by evaluating any competitive developments and analyzing customer needs
  • Scan and email invoices
  • Record HPT serial numbers on spreadsheet
  • File invoices 
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations and complete all safety trainings on time


Parts Coordinator Back-up


  • Act as the back-up for the Parts Coordinator as required
  • Provide Parts quotes in support of the Parts Coordinator or in his absence
  • Process Parts orders in support of the Parts Coordinator or in his absence
  • Ship Parts orders in support of the Parts Coordinator or in his absence

Qualifications


  • 1-3 years of experience in sales and customer service within a corporate environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite & CRM systems
  • The ideal candidate is an outgoing and motivated self-starter, who seeks to grow their career in sales and/or account management

Most candidates will start at the bottom half of the pay range, with the upper end reserved for candidates with extensive experience and skills and who live in geographic markets commanding a higher starting pay.
