Compensation Range: $55 - $80/hr.


Our multinational retail client is looking for a Data Scientist

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and transform data from diverse sources to be used for training or evaluation datasets.
  • Develop, validate, and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
  • Familiarize and utilize end-to-end ML product to develop data science models.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to understand the data and develop hypotheses.
  • Triage and diagnose poor performing models. 
  • Propose and implement solutions to meet our model performance metrics. 
  • Propose evidence-based strategies to improve existing development and business challenges.
  • Present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in data science or a related field.
  • Experience with Python and its primary data science libraries, alongside essential SQL knowledge for database management.
  • Proficiency in building and fine-tuning machine learning models.
  • Robust understanding of various machine learning algorithms and their mathematical foundations.
  • Deep understanding of model confidence measurements and the ability to select appropriate models for specific tasks, including where to utilize one model over the other.
  • Having a deep understanding and knowledge of state-of-the-art transformer models for different tasks.
  • Strong skills in data preprocessing, data exploration, and feature engineering.
