Work Type: Hybrid -   Able to travel daily within territory and up to 50% overnight travel including some weekend work for retailer and consumer events

Position Type: Contract, 12 months (potential to extend)

Compensation Range: $23 (t4) - $28 (Inc) per hour


Our multinational client, a food and beverage company, is seeking a Territory Sales Manager. The Territory Sales Manager for Ontario and Atlantic Provinces will be responsible for executing the go to market strategy and managing the day-to-day business within the region. They will be tasked to managing the current Neighbourhood Pet & Pet Specialty business base in addition to developing other market channels through executing initiatives to drive sustainable growth through education, innovation, promotions, and marketing campaigns. Another facet of the role will be to identify new business opportunities within the region and how we can establish a business with them.


Responsibilities

  • Provide a disciplined, comprehensive approach to servicing customer base with a high level of quality and professionalism
  • Establish a regular call cycle with all active retailers and explore opportunities to drive the business
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external partners
  • Work in tandem with other functions to help execute important company initiatives and to service accounts
  • Budget, plan and track promotional events with accounts to meet company’s volume goals and objectives
  • Identify new opportunities in Ontario and Atlantic Provinces (No travel required to Atlantic Provinces) and present plans on how can win with them!
  • Present innovative solutions, items and rollout plans in timely fashion that meet the accounts needs and company objectives
  • Analyze and summarize market activity and sales trends from your area of responsibility back to the Business
  • Integrate customer data and knowledge on strategies to make promotional and assortment recommendations

Qualification

  • Must be a Pet enthusiast!
  • Minimum of 3 years in consumer-packaged goods experience (preferably in pet channel)
  • Must be a proactive and results oriented
  • Must be able to analyze data and extrapolate insights that translate into results
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in fast pace growing business environment
  • Ability to work in team setting and display excellent communication skills and interpersonal qualities
  • Strong negotiation skills, with ability to follow-through
  • Able to travel daily within territory and up to 50% overnight travel including some weekend work for retailer and consumer events
  • Must attend National Trade shows/other events as requested
  • Available to attend Company and Team meetings when required
  • Must be able to lift 30lbs
  • trong sales, planning, organization and display excellent communication skills and interpersonal qualities
  • Proficient in iPad and computer skills
  • Preferred location Toronto/Mississauga ON. Canada
  • Pet Specialty retail experience and working with pet product distributors is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
