Description and Requirements

Laser Operator

Looking for a candidate with manufacturing experience (not warehouse).

Shift: 2nd Shift — Monday to Thursday, 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM
Pay Rate: $19.80/hr ($18 + 10% shift differential)
Training: First shift for approximately 4 weeks (6:30 AM to 5:00 PM) at first‑shift pay rate
Requirements: Resume and interview required


Responsibilities

  • Operate and verify the quality of products on various equipment in the laser department
  • Identify and segregate non‑conforming parts
  • Set up repeat or simple jobs under direction
  • Monitor variations in program sequence (positioning, cycle time, etc.) and suggest corrections
  • Work from drawings, specifications, and Traveler instructions (with guidance as needed)
  • Report issues to the Supervisor or Department Lead
  • Run production and assist with assembly when required
  • Evaluate job performance against production and quality standards and report issues
  • Maintain required tooling to ensure parts meet specifications
  • Perform quality checks using fixed or adjustable precision measuring devices
  • Assist or instruct others as needed
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Follow all safety rules and work practices
  • Comply with company, department, and quality policies and procedures
  • Keep management informed of job, machine, and equipment issues
  • Maintain a positive attitude and promote teamwork
  • Perform multiple operations as required
  • Complete other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months to 2 years of laser experience, preferably in a job‑shop environment
  • Experience using a microscope
  • Basic understanding of blueprints
