About the Opportunity

A leading global technology consulting organization is partnering with a major Ontario-based energy and utilities provider on SAP IS-U implementation and enhancement initiatives. We are seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Device Management Functional Consultant to support mission-critical utility operations and transformation programs.

This is an on-site role ideal for professionals who thrive in structured environments and enjoy working closely with business and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support SAP IS-U Device Management implementation and enhancement projects

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed functional specifications

• Configure and customize SAP IS-U Device Management components, including:

  • Installation processes

  • Device allocation

  • Meter installation and replacement

  • Meter reading integration

• Ensure proper integration between Device Management and Billing processes

• Collaborate with ABAP developers on functional design and enhancements

• Support testing cycles (unit testing, SIT, UAT)

• Drive defect resolution and coordinate cutover activities

• Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations

Essential Experience

• Strong hands-on experience as an SAP IS-U Device Management Functional Consultant

• Deep functional expertise in SAP IS Utilities — specifically Device Management lifecycle processes

• Utility industry experience (meter installation, meter reading, billing integration, device replacement, etc.)

• Experience preparing and reviewing functional specifications

• Proven collaboration with technical/ABAP teams

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to SAP IS-U Billing or Customer Service modules

• Understanding of industry best practices and regulatory compliance in utilities

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Experience supporting end-to-end implementation projects
