Description and Requirements
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr
Shift: Day Shift — 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Candidates will be screened by suppliers; on‑site visits can be scheduled upon request.
This is an entry‑level position responsible for supporting daily production operations, performing quality checks, and ensuring products meet required standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare machines and equipment for daily use
- Perform quality checks on products and materials
- Communicate any operational issues to set‑up staff, technicians, and supervisors
- Use inspection tools and complete quality inspection documentation independently
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections using gauges and inspection tooling
- Identify product defects and complete required documentation and notifications
- Ensure products meet established quality standards
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (or relevant experience)
- High energy, self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with mechanical systems
- Proficiency with inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators
- Proven ability to use inspection data
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials
- Basic computer navigation skills
- Ability to read and write English
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry at least 30 lbs safely and consistently
- Ability to push/pull up to 180 lbs using a hand dolly
- Repetitive hand work (rotated daily)
- Frequent standing, sitting, walking, and balancing throughout an 8–10 hour shift
- Ability to work in an uncontrolled climate (including excessive heat)
