Our client, a community hospital, is seeking a "Senior MRT - Mammography".


The Senior Mammography Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT), works as a member of the interdisciplinary team, providing professional expertise and is responsible for the efficient and effective day-to-day functions of the Mammography department at the hospital.



QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation & Imaging Technologists of Canada (CMRITO).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Successful completion of Breast Imaging I and Breast Imaging 2.
  • Certificate in Breast Imaging preferred.
  • Registration with the Canadian association of Medical Radiation Technologists/ Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences (CAMRT/OAMRS) preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Breast Imaging.
  • Leadership experience is an asset.



SKILLS/ ABILITIES:


  • Computer experience in a windows environment.
  • Demonstrates excellent problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated the ability to deal effectively and cooperatively with all levels of staff, patients and the public.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated positive work record and good attendance record.
  • Position involves patient transport and pushing/pulling mobile equipment.


In addition, the successful candidate must be available to work day, evening and night shifts, along with weekends and statutory holidays. An ability to attend work on a consistent basis is also a requirement.
