Compensation Range: $35.00/ hr - $45.46/hr

Our client, a community hospital, is seeking a "Medical Radiation Technologist".

The Medical Radiation Technologist is responsible for the operation of the Diagnostic Imaging Department including, but not limited to, patient care, ER, OP and IP x-ray imaging, accurate and timely documentation, initiating service calls and supervision of other imaging related duties.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of a CAMRT accredited school of Medical Radiation Technology
  • Maintain annual registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
  • Maintain annual registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists/ Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences (CAMRT/OAMRS) – optional
  • Maintain current BCLS certificate
  • Two year’s experience in general radiography in a PACS environment
  • Computer experience in a windows environment
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Position involves transporting of patients and pushing/pulling heavy mobile equipment
  • Demonstrate the ability to deal effectively and cooperatively with all levels of staff, patients and the public
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, and time management skills
  • CT and/or Mammography experience is an asset


In addition, the successful candidate must be available to work day, evening and night shifts, along with weekends and statutory holidays. An ability to attend work on a consistent basis is also a requirement.
