Our client, a private non‑profit, seeks Risk Adjustment Coders.

Shift/Schedule: M–F, 8–5; Hybrid, local candidates only.
3–5 days of initial onsite training, then 2–4 times/month onsite depending on educational needs, site meetings, etc.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Coding Educator Risk Adjustment provides coding training and education, supporting physicians, mid‑levels, and support staff in understanding and capturing HCCs for appropriate organization members. Working under general supervision, this role provides prospective and retrospective chart reviews, provider assessments, and one‑on‑one and group education.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
– HS Diploma/GED
– MUST be a Certified Coding Specialist (CPC only) — no other coding certifications accepted
– CRC certification preferred with CPC
– 2–5 years of Risk Adjustment coding experience required
– Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
– Own ICD‑10 coding books (highly preferred)

JOB FUNCTIONS:
– Abstract diagnosis codes per THN policy from notes to educate providers and staff on the importance of accurate HCC coding
– Prepare targeted education for providers and staff with practice‑specific information
– Act as a coding resource for practices and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
– Establish and maintain positive, professional working relationships with physicians, clinical staff, administrative staff, and THN internal teams
– Work with leadership to establish EMR access within all practices
– Actively participate in THN POD meetings with other departments and complete daily logs and process forms as directed
– Perform other duties as assigned
