Description and Requirements

Production Operator III (CNC Operator II)
Pay Rate: $20/hr
Work Schedule- 1st Shift 6:00am – 2:30pm

If temp help is good, we can offer a full-time position.

Summary: Set up and operate a variety of CNC (computer numerical control) machines in order to produce products according to the customers’ specifications.

Responsibilities:
• Perform CNC machinery set up functions by using basic programming commands.
• Fabricate products by reading and interpreting blueprints, mechanical drawings, BOM and other drawings and written material.
• Prepare and load materials onto the machine.
• Perform tooling changes as needed.
• Work closely with the Quality department to conduct inspections during the production process to verify product meets specifications.
• Maintain productivity at levels that match or exceed production standards.
• Communicate with Cell Lead on all issues related to discrepancies on drawing or BOM.
• Follow safety rules and use safe procedures.
• Keep all tools and supplies put away in the appropriate location on a daily basis. Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of experience setting up CNC machines, preferably Haas.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
• Full understanding of machining tools, drills, tap, bores, etc.
• Aptitude for math, problem-solving, and computers, including working knowledge of Excel.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Communicate effectively.
• Proficiency with various types of equipment such as:
• Air and power tools
• Micrometers, calipers, rulers, tape measures and gages
• Ability to work independently.

Physical Requirements:
• Continuous standing, moving and reaching with arms and hand.
• Frequently walks, bends, lifts and carries items.
• Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:
• Work performed in a shop environment.
• Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, and odors.
