Job Title: Production Team Lead III-Cell Lead – Air Terminal (AT) Pay Rate: $25/hr Work Schedule- 1st Shift 5:30am – 2:30pm

Summary: The Cell Lead is responsible for ensuring team members remain on schedule so that production is completed in a timely manner. Additionally, the Cell Lead will monitor and maintain high quality production and practice lean manufacturing principals such as 5S.
Responsibilities: • Complete first piece inspection of product to ensure it meets quality standards and continually monitor quality during production. • Motivate team members to enhance production quantity and maintain high production standards. • Set the standards for the team members and guide them on what is expected for the day. • Inspect finished orders and verify that all criteria are met in accordance with the blueprint. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, while finding ways to improve. • Evaluate tools and equipment to ensure they are working properly. Trouble-shoot when there is a malfunction. Advise the Production Cell Supervisor of all equipment problems. • Train new employees and existing team members in equipment operation, manufacturing processes and safety rules and procedures. • Report to the daily manufacturing meeting to discuss with other cells on production needs. • Update and monitor Gemba boards on a daily basis. Identify concerns and provide solutions to the Production Cell Supervisor. • Assist with the daily work by the following: o Set-up and operate machinery o Give guidance to team members o Monitor and adjust machinery as needed • Order all routine supplies to ensure efficient operation of the cell. • Maintain accurate work records. • Monitor team members’ performance. Assist the Production Cell Supervisor with performance appraisal. • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • High School diploma or equivalent. • Basic computer knowledge. • Read and understand blueprints/drawings. • Mechanical aptitude. • Able to communicate effectively with others. • Ability to organize and plan workload in a proactive manner. • Must have 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment. • Ability to make educational decisions regarding production needs.
Physical Requirements: • Continuous standing, moving and reaching with arms and hand. • Frequently walks, bends, lifts and carries items. • Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment: • Work performed in a shop environment. • Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, and odors.
