Our client, a world-leading manufacturing company, is seeking a "Human Resources Manager" to join their team for a 6-month LOA coverage.


The Human Resources Department is responsible for all strategic Human Resources initiatives related to: HR strategy, organizational design, employee relations, HR services, recruitment, employee development and retention, administration of job evaluation and performance enhancement management processes, compensation, benefits and pension, training, education, leadership development and coaching. 


The incumbent will report directly to the Director HR Canada & LATAM on an ongoing basis and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to all key Workforce moment (talent acquisition, pulse surveys, retention, terminations and absences, administration, employee/labour relations, compensation and benefits, T&D, employee communication, and legal employment management.




Responsibilities:


  • Oversee day to day HR business partnerships with all entities, offices and facilities of the business across Canada.
  • Continually learns and understands the business needs including our incentive management systems, and how human capital helps drive success as a key leader of the management team
  • Lead the training and flow of the Global Performance Management Program (GPMP), TC/SP, PIP/IDP and Merit Hourly Rating system.
  • Act as a liaison with legal counsel and management regarding HR issues as required.
  • Prepare ad hoc HR reports to the Director of HR, and other leadership, as required
  • Continually learns and understands the business, including our unique incentive management system, and how human capital helps drive success as a key leader of the Operations management team
  • Develops strategies & collaborates with the team in execution of business initiatives along with ensuring appropriate communication and change management; partners with leadership team and employees to execute activities which builds positive morale and improves retention
  • Actively collaborates with the Global HR team to deliver excellence in HR practices, strategy, systems, total rewards and culture throughout the organization
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the business team to deliver solutions, establishes business metrics and KPIs
  • Builds capability of the HR team through inclusive leadership, and formal and informal professional development
  • Drives continuous improvement and standardization of HR processes to ensure maximum efficiency and effectivity, analyzes the effectiveness of HR operations and policies
  • Actively participates in company, staff or individual one-on-one meetings on an ongoing basis for the purposes of effective teamwork, enhanced communication and progressive co-operation strategies within the department, as well as other departments across the company
  • Continually contributes to the profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives
  • Fully abides and actively supports the Environmental Health & Safety policies, practices and procedures with respect to protecting the environment, the conservation of nature resources and the Health & Safety of all employees
  • Support ISO 90001, 14001 and 50001 initiatives as required
  • Conducts any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned, or required by the Director-HR Canada & LATAM in a timely and professional manner



Qualifications:


  • BA/BS in Human Resources, Business Administration, preferred; CHRP/CHRL
  • Minimum of ten years’ experience in HR/Generalist capacity in a manufacturing environment preferred.  Degree & experience combination will be taken into consideration
  • Minimum of three years of HR managerial/leadership experience
  • Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills
  • Engaging, empathetic leader with proven ability to guide and develop the capabilities of a team
  • Demonstrated project management, written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel & Word)
  • Working knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems; SuccessFactors preferred

Most candidates will start at the bottom half of the pay range, with the upper end reserved for candidates with extensive experience and skills and who live in geographic markets commanding a higher starting pay.
