Position Overview

The AD&M business unit within TE Connectivity is seeking an Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Lab Analyst to support EHS initiatives at the Carpinteria, CA facility. Reporting to the AD&M EHS Manager, this role is responsible for developing, guiding, and implementing EHS programs and corporate initiatives to support a zero‑injury, zero‑defect culture.

The EHS Analyst ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and supports all safety‑related activities across the site.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary interface between site facilities, Business Unit Management, and the Corporate EHS Department
  • Develop policies, standards, and procedures; ensure consistent implementation across the facility
  • Oversee the site safety committee and facilitate engagement across all labs
  • Coordinate reporting, tracking, root‑cause analysis, and trend analysis for workplace incidents, injuries, illnesses, and environmental events
  • Create corrective actions and assign responsibilities as needed
  • Improve Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and risk assessments; ensure labs document routine tasks and understand non‑routine assessments
  • Work with management to set annual and long‑term (3–5 year) EHS goals
  • Lead efforts to meet or exceed safety, health, and environmental performance targets
  • Provide guidance to management on improving overall safety culture
  • Plan, administer, and track safety programs including:
    • Hazard communication
    • Contractor safety
    • Machine guarding
    • Behavioral‑based safety
    • Powered industrial truck safety
    • Electrical safety
  • Conduct workplace inspections, equipment risk assessments, and industrial hygiene surveys
  • Standardize EHS documentation across all labs
  • Manage facility environmental permits and track energy‑reduction projects
  • Track monthly safety and environmental metrics
  • Maintain and monitor the EHS management system tool
  • Oversee the Management of Change (MOC) process for equipment and process changes
  • Assist with internal and external audits, including corrective action tracking
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across multiple business units

Required Background

  • Due to ITAR regulations, U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental or safety science or a related technical field, plus 3–5 years of EHS experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Experience with Behavioral‑Based Safety programs
  • Knowledge of environmental permitting
  • Working knowledge of industrial ergonomics
  • Ability to manage safety initiatives across multiple business units and leadership teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to management and technical staff
  • Experience managing electrical and chemical safety programs
