Compensation Range: $50 to $59 per hour
Our client, a global leader in railway and transportation manufacturing, seeks to hire a Site Installation Supervisor.
The Site Installation Supervisor oversees and coordinates all on‑site installation activities for rail systems deployment. This role ensures compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines while managing subcontractors and liaising with engineering and project management teams.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise installation of signaling, telecom, and electrical systems at project sites.
• Ensure adherence to installation procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate daily work plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress against schedule.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installation activities, including progress reports and quality checks.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and client representatives to ensure smooth execution.
• Manage subcontractor performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Support test and commissioning activities as required.
• Manage the planning and scheduling of installation.
• Ensure that all employees (including subcontractors) comply with Health and Safety requirements as detailed in project reference documents and applicable safety policies.
• Ensure all site installation drawings, documents, and software releases are kept current to relevant revisions.
• Ensure that “as‑built” information is recorded as work progresses and submitted for documentation updates.
• Perform some PICO testing and assist in T&C activities as required.
Qualifications:
• Experience: 3–5 years in rail systems installation or similar infrastructure projects.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with CENELEC standards, signaling systems, and installation best practices.
• Certifications: Valid safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, First Aid).
• Skills: Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and communication skills; proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
• Experience in task planning, including estimation, performance tracking, and reporting.
• Experience in installation and testing of train control systems.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with large‑scale rail deployment projects.
• Knowledge of fiber optic and telecom systems.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Education:
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
