Our multinational retail client is looking for a Senior SEO Analyst.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior SEO Analyst to join our dynamic digital marketing team. As a Senior SEO Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving organic traffic to our specific categories and improving our overall online visibility. You will be responsible for implementing and managing SEO strategies that align with our business objectives and enhance our brand's digital presence, while supporting other SEO Specialists.
Responsibilities:
- Leads SEO analyses, monitors key business metrics, including Traffic, Orders, Revenue, and Bounce Rate and identifies opportunities to elevate business performance from SEO. Also monitors ranking trends and identifies keyword gaps and opportunities across the site.
- Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify high-impact keywords for assigned product categories. Utilize keyword research tools to identify opportunities for content expansion and optimization.
- Ensure consistent use of keywords throughout product pages and category pages. Optimize metadata to improve search engine rankings.
- Work closely with digital experience, marketing, and e-commerce teams to drive effective SEO and content strategies that meet business objectives.
- Identify and resolve technical SEO issues, such as broken links, canonical issues, duplicate content, and indexing errors. Optimize internal linking to improve website navigation and SEO.
- Create and enforce SEO content standards and guidelines to ensure consistency in product information, meta descriptions, and on-page optimization.
- Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms. Stay current on SEO trends, algorithm updates, analyze competitors, and best practices in digital marketing, applying relevant insights to improve Walmart Canada’s online presence.
- Track and analyze key SEO metrics, including organic traffic, keyword rankings, and CTRs. Identify trends and areas for improvement. Generate regular reports on SEO performance and provide actionable insights. Utilize analytics tools to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize strategies.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in SEO, preferably in an e-commerce setting.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles, including on-page and basic technical SEO.
- Proficiency in using SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, BrightEdge, Botify, or similar tools.
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A passion for digital marketing and a desire to stay updated on industry trends.
