Our financial client is seeking an Engagement Lead. The Engagement Lead acts as a strategy and execution partner for Viva Engage and related employee communication platforms. This role enhances enterprise adoption capability by helping business partners understand and use platform features effectively—focusing on consultation, enablement, and communications strategy rather than technical development.
Responsibilities
Consultation & Intake
• Lead intake meetings with business partners and communicators to understand goals and challenges
• Translate business needs into platform‑enabled use cases leveraging Viva Engage and M365 tools
Solutioning & Advisory
• Provide expert, out‑of‑the‑box solution recommendations (no development or coding)
• Advise on platform suitability, best practices, and communication design
• Work closely with the Senior Manager to improve consultation and solution frameworks
Enablement & Adoption
• Deliver training, workshops, and enablement sessions
• Support and strengthen the Champions/power‑user community
• Coach partners on using platform features confidently and effectively
Stakeholder Engagement
• Engage stakeholders at all levels—from admins to senior leadership
• Represent the platform with confidence, clarity, and strong communication presence
• Act as a strategic extension of the Senior Manager, expanding their capacity and reach
Strategy & Innovation
• Contribute insights to future‑state platform strategy and innovation research
• Identify patterns, opportunities, and areas where engagement practices can improve
• Understand when to hand off to Analytics or Technology partners
Qualifications
Proven success with internal program adoption
High‑Impact Communication Skills
• Exceptional communication skills
• Comfortable presenting to senior leadership and front‑line users
• Skilled at facilitation: workshops, consultations, brown‑bags, enablement sessions
Expertise in Communications Platforms
• Experience with Viva Engage, Yammer, or similar social platforms
• Strong familiarity with the M365 ecosystem
Change Leadership
• Experience leading or supporting change initiatives impacting large groups
• Experience building and running Champions networks, power‑user groups, or enablement communities
Product Management Capabilities
• Ability to understand and represent platform vision and roadmap
• Acts as an extension of the Senior Manager’s strategic reach
Background in corporate communications, social media strategy, or internal communications
Experience with corporate communications strategy
Nice to Have:
• Familiarity with analytics and interpreting basic adoption signals
• Experience supporting enterprise‑wide technology or communication rollouts
Soft Skills:

• Ability to gather needs, ask strong questions, and translate unclear goals into concrete platform recommendations
