Our client, a multinational technology company specializing in Information Technology Services and Consulting, is looking to hire a Senior Business Analyst. 

Senior Business Analyst in Information Controls Technology. The Information Controls technology team builds and executes complex surveillance models and scenarios that focus on monitoring and enforcing the firm's information barriers.

A business analyst in this space partners with developers and drives forward the business agenda through solid requirements analysis and execution

The eCommunications Surveillance program within Information Controls Technology is currently transitioning from a legacy platform to a modern technology stack.


Job Details:

  • Industry:  BFSI
  • The individual in this role will be required to collaborate with the vendor to gain an understanding of the new product and align existing workflows and scenarios with the updated surveillance framework.
  • This encompasses knowledge of monitoring use cases for both audio and electronic communications.
  • Proficiency in handling unstructured data, as well as experience with large-scale data analytics (including Regex, NLP, and AI filtering), would be highly advantageous.
  • Furthermore, the candidate should have expertise in extracting data from SaaS platforms, manipulating it for on-premise reporting purposes, and working closely with Compliance to achieve targeted outcomes.
  • The ideal candidate should have the skills listed below, but in addition, should be a self-driven, dedicated individual who can work well with both technical and non-technical audiences. In addition, the candidate should respond well to change and quickly pick up new concepts, as well as devise new approaches for solving challenges in the space.
  • Technical and analytics skills combined with strong interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities:
  • The role will define the project's objectives, scope, and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle, including refining business requirements and creating fully dressed user stories.
  • The individual will need to be hands-on with the data to help develop project solutions and identify issues/opportunities.
  • The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player committed to delivering on time and able to work under minimal supervision.
  • The candidate should expect to work in a global virtual team, sometimes across multiple time zones.
  • Specific responsibilities include: 
  • Document business and functional requirements, including workflow, business rules, and use cases.
  • Understand and document data requirements for surveillance scenarios and other monitoring. 
  • Create documentation that outlines data lineage and a framework for data governance.
  • Become a subject matter expert for compliance data.
  • Work with the developers to define/document existing application infrastructure and architecture.
  • Assist with QA/Testing to review/refine test plans and more detailed test cases.
  • Work with the project team and business to identify and resolve issues that arise during projects or as part of day-to-day business operations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans.
  • Build, develop, and grow relationships with IT and business areas vital to the success of the project.
  • Manage/monitor Data issues and perform impact assessment to identify critical processes.
  • Perform root cause analysis, work with Business and IT partners to resolve data issues that result from control breaks.
  • Understand the Agile framework (working in Scrum/Kanban/Scrumbum model); be able to work closely with development and qa in building, developing, and executing requirements.
Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years of experience in a large complex banking organization or major consulting organization acting in a technology business analyst role.
  • Competent and proficient understanding of general technology environments (platforms, organizational structure and culture, teams involved in the successful completion of technology initiatives, etc.). 
  • Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. 
  • Good database/SQL skills: Much of the work is focused on databases.
  • Good communication, teamwork, and influencing skills; ability to communicate effectively with technology and key business representatives.
  • Self-motivated and can work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Experienced in Agile scrum or Kanban lifecycles.
  • Able to multitask across a number of projects.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications: Excel, MS Project, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Technical background in integration, development, and/or infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Smarsh, Digital Reasoning, Veritas, Actimize, or similar Communications Archiving and Supervision Tools would be preferable.
  • Experience in the financial services field, with emphasis on banking/Compliance technology

Ce poste est au sein de l'équipe Information Controls Technology, qui conçoit et exécute des modèles complexes de surveillance afin de contrôler le respect des barrières d’information au sein de l’entreprise.

L’analyste d’affaires travaillera en partenariat avec les développeurs pour faire avancer les priorités commerciales par le biais d’une analyse rigoureuse des besoins et de leur mise en œuvre.

Le programme de surveillance des communications électroniques (eCommunications Surveillance) évolue actuellement vers une infrastructure technologique moderne, remplaçant une plateforme héritée.

Secteur : Services bancaires, financiers et d’assurance (BFSI)

La personne dans ce rôle devra collaborer avec le fournisseur pour comprendre le nouveau produit et aligner les scénarios de surveillance existants sur le nouveau cadre. Cela inclut la compréhension des cas d’usage liés à la surveillance des communications audio et électroniques.

Une expertise en traitement de données non structurées et une expérience en analyse de données à grande échelle (y compris Regex, NLP et filtres basés sur l’IA) seront fortement appréciées.

Le candidat doit également savoir extraire des données de plateformes SaaS, les transformer pour des besoins de reporting interne, et collaborer étroitement avec les équipes Conformité pour atteindre les objectifs visés.

Le candidat idéal possède les compétences listées ci-dessous, mais aussi un bon esprit d’initiative, la capacité à interagir aussi bien avec des publics techniques que non techniques, à s’adapter rapidement aux changements et à proposer des solutions innovantes.

Des compétences techniques et analytiques combinées à d’excellentes habiletés interpersonnelles sont essentielles.

Responsabilités :

  • Définir les objectifs du projet, son périmètre et assurer le contrôle de qualité tout au long de son cycle de vie.

  • Être impliqué dans l’analyse des données afin de proposer des solutions et d’identifier des problèmes ou opportunités.

  • Documenter les exigences fonctionnelles et opérationnelles, y compris les flux de travail, règles métiers et cas d’utilisation.

  • Comprendre et documenter les exigences en matière de données pour les scénarios de surveillance.

  • Créer une documentation sur la traçabilité des données et un cadre de gouvernance.

  • Devenir un expert des données utilisées par les équipes Conformité.

  • Collaborer avec les développeurs pour définir et documenter l’architecture existante.

  • Participer à la QA et aux tests en révisant les plans et les cas de test.

  • Identifier et résoudre les problèmes qui surviennent durant le projet ou les opérations courantes.

  • Gérer proactivement les changements de portée, les risques potentiels et proposer des plans de contingence.

  • Gérer les problèmes de données, évaluer leur impact et réaliser des analyses de causes profondes.

  • Maîtriser le cadre Agile (Scrum, Kanban, ou hybride) pour collaborer efficacement avec les développeurs et testeurs.

Qualifications :

  • 7 à 10 ans d’expérience comme analyste d’affaires dans un grand environnement bancaire ou cabinet de conseil majeur.

  • Bonne compréhension des environnements technologiques (plateformes, équipes, structures organisationnelles, etc.).

  • Solides compétences analytiques, capable de traduire les besoins métier en exigences fonctionnelles.

  • Bonne maîtrise de SQL / bases de données, car le rôle est très axé sur les données.

  • Excellentes aptitudes en communication et en travail d’équipe.

  • Autonomie et capacité à travailler de manière indépendante ou en équipe.

  • Expérience confirmée dans les cycles de vie Agile (Scrum, Kanban).

  • Capacité à gérer plusieurs projets en parallèle.

  • Maîtrise des outils MS Office : Excel, Project, Visio, Word, PowerPoint.

  • Expérience technique en intégration, développement ou infrastructure.

  • Une connaissance des outils tels que Smarsh, Digital Reasoning, Veritas, Actimize ou autres outils d’archivage et de supervision des communications serait un atout.
