Compensation Range: 43$ to 50$ ( negotiable)

 

Our multinational retail client is looking to hire a Merchandising Analyst/ Business Analyst.


The Merchandising Analyst, Ecomm role will analyze the performance of our business across all merchandising Health categories. You must be comfortable speaking with large groups of associates at all levels, including the client's Leadership Team. You must also clearly present your findings to the client's suppliers in partnership with the Omni Merchant team. 



Responsibilities


  • A. Develop category strategies for the online channel that align with the category’s omni objectives. Conduct item-level assortment analysis and proactively support Category Managers with assortment decisions that will drive overall category financial performance.
  • B. Drive vendor management activities, including sourcing new online-only vendors, onboarding and initiating vendor agreements, creating new items, and working with suppliers and cross-functional partners to upload and optimize content. Responsible for providing ongoing support and direction to vendors regarding client processes and providing vendor training on systems as required.
  • C. Provide analytic support to omni Category Managers on high-priority eCommerce strategic projects and assist the team with divisional initiatives. Activities include but are not limited to enabling new items for sale online through compliance unlocks, liaising with the site experience team on category refreshes, creating online event collections, and working with cross-functional partners to drive growth through tech solutions and new services.
  • D. Build, analyze and maintain systems and reports to support merchandise decisions. Systems include but are not limited to Retail Link, Merchant Portal, Tableau and MS Excel. Responsible for working with category team analysts and omni Category Managers to ensure action is taken on reported findings such as performing maintenance on items, submitting price/cost adjustments, and adjusting web hierarchies.


Qualifications


  • 1-3 Years of Business Analysis experience.
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple project deadlines.
  • A retail background is an asset but not Mandatory. 
  • Data Acquisition: Ability to acquire and analyze data and provide business with recommendations based on trends and opportunities highlighted. 
  • Must be highly detail-oriented.


Must Haves


  • 1-3 years of experience in data analysis
  • Provide Recommendations on business decision based on the analysis, trends, patterns and behaviours
  • Detail Oriented 


Nice to have


  • Retail experience
