Compensation Range: 40$/hr to 53$/hr
Our client, a leading financial services company based in Toronto, is seeking to hire a Marketing Manager.
Best vs average candidate: The best candidate stands out through their ability to lead with strategic vision, drive innovation, and influence stakeholders effectively for Digital Marketing Campaigns. They possess advanced technical expertise, deep industry knowledge, and a proactive mindset, while the average candidate demonstrates competence in execution but lacks the ability to elevate campaigns to the next level.
Responsiblities:
- Paid Media Expertise – You have an understanding of executional best practices, current digital media trends and the ability to identify and execute optimization opportunities to maximize campaign performance. Familiarity with various campaign type and KPI’s corresponding to performance measurements would be an asset. Execute digital marketing campaigns including but not limited to strategy, campaign set up, ad trafficking, targeting, creative uploading/sync and testing, audience assignment and automated report generation. Looking for someone with immediate and relevant Paid Social experience including platform knowledge, executional excellence, analytical know-how and a strong sense of how each Paid Social platform fits within the marketing funnel.
- Strategic Thinking Approach – Take a holistic view to all tasks! You drive, manage and execute Paid Media campaigns for your assigned lines of business. Working in partnership with all digital channels you will support business goals, objectives and KPIs. You have a keen ability to provide insights, recommendations and digital strategic direction based on vision, business needs and objectives (KPIs), industry trends, competitive landscape and metrics insights. You have the ability to pull metrics reporting and provide strategic insights to improve and enhance digital strategic programs for the Business.
- Team Player and Leadership – Act both Collaboratively and Autonomously. You will own and manage Paid Media campaigns for your assigned portfolio of clients. You will support the digital marketing strategies as applicable but also work closely with other consultants and managers and any other cross functional teams to achieve successful execution. You can provide digital strategic consultation as necessary to the business, as well as other internal partners in addition to working closely with external vendors. Collaborate with the media and creative agencies and assist in troubleshooting and addressing any ad server related challenges and discrepancies.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset – Work with marketing communications, ecommerce, lines of business and other stakeholders to develop holistic digital strategies to meet business objectives. You have a proven ability to partner, build confidence and influence multiple stakeholders at all levels across the organization. You will act as the primary point of contact for assigned lines of business as it relate to Paid Media – from strategy to execution. You have a keen ability to provide insights, recommendations and digital strategic direction based on vision, business needs and objectives (KPIs), industry trends, competitive landscape and metrics insights. You have the ability to pull metrics reporting and provide strategic insights to improve and enhance digital strategic programs for the Business.
- Business Acumen and Relationship Building – Forge strong relationships with various teams, by working with the business and internal partners, owning the end to end Paid Media Campaigns to deliver against targets, with a strong understanding of the client needs and experiences across all channels . You are a great communicator, with the ability to synthesize data & results, findings and recommendations, then package key messages to the appropriate audiences. You have a proven ability to partner, build confidence and influence key stakeholders in the organization and you’re a self-starter.
Must-Have Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ Years of Paid Media Experience
- Expertise in managing Paid Social campaigns, including strategy, execution, optimization, and reporting
- Strategic Thinking and KPI Monitoring
- Ability to define KPIs, analyze metrics, and provide actionable insights to align campaigns with business objectives.
- Platform Proficiency – 5 years
- Experience or certification in at least two platforms (e.g., SA360, Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, TikTok, DV360).
- Stakeholder Management and Leadership – 5 years
- Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and act as the primary point of contact for Paid Media strategy and execution.
- Digital Savviness and Analytical Skills
- Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and adaptability to evolving digital tools and trends.
Nice-to-Have Skills and Qualifications
- Financial Industry experience
- Experience in account management within financial services or wealth management.
- Holistic Campaign Management experience
- Familiarity with cross-channel collaboration and end-to-end campaign ownership.
- Emerging Platforms and Advanced Reporting experience
- Knowledge of newer platforms like Pinterest or TikTok and experience with automated reporting tools.
- Team Collaboration and Training
- Experience mentoring team members and collaborating with internal and external partners.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset
- Ability to proactively identify opportunities, troubleshoot issues, and drive innovative solutions
