Our Fortune 500 client is seeking a Marketing Manager I.
They are looking to hire a highly motivated and technically proficient Marketing Manager, MarTech and Data Activation Specialist to join our dynamic MarTech & Data Activation team. They have Canada’s #1 software and looking to reach new audiences to deliver compelling customer experiences. This is a critical contract role where you will directly impact our ability to reach new audiences and deliver compelling customer experiences. Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager, MarTech & Data Activation, you will be instrumental in the day-to-day operations of our customer data platform (CDP) to manage and deliver impactful segments for go-to-market campaign executions. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a passion for leveraging data to drive marketing performance.
Responsibilities:

- Collaboration: Partner with diverse teams across marketing, data engineering, and analytics to ensure seamless data flow and empower our go-to-market strategies.
- Growth: This role offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise in the rapidly evolving field of data activation and martech, with a focus on onboarding and segmentation with opportunities to implement new platform technologies.
- What you'll do: CDP Management: Own the day to day operations of our customer data platform, including customer data onboarding, manage data quality assurance, and audience activation through seamless integration with various paid and owned marketing platforms.
- Audience Segmentation & Activation: Collaborate, build, and manage high-performing audience segments within the CDP, ensuring they are accurately shared and optimized for ad targeting across diverse marketing channels (e.g., CRM, digital paid media, affiliates, partners).
- Data Integrity & Troubleshooting: Own and manage end-to-end process for new attribute requests including onboarding into the CDP and quality assurance.
- Proactively monitor and troubleshoot data quality and match rate issues across platforms to maintain the highest level of data integrity.
- Privacy & Compliance: Drive the implementation and ongoing management of our website privacy consent management platform (OneTrust), ensuring regulatory compliance to build customer trust.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with go-to-market teams, internal data engineers, and data analytics specialists to understand data needs, enhance segmentation capabilities, and support strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or college certificate in Marketing ops, Marketing Technology, or related field
- 1-3 years of proven experience in audience strategy, audience segmentation, and data activation within a marketing or MarTech context.
- Hands-on expertise in managing and utilizing a Customer Data Platform (CDP), with a strong preference for Adobe Experience Platform (AEP).
- Demonstrated experience with data validation and quality assurance across multiple platforms, including CDPs and digital buying platforms.
- Experience working with JSON schemas with ability to understand and edit.
- Strong understanding of how data flows through marketing ecosystems and its impact on campaign performance.
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex initiatives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- A self-starter mindset with a high degree of motivation, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
Bonus Points (Nice to Have):
- Experience with the implementation and ongoing management of website privacy
- consent management platforms (e.g., OneTrust).
- Familiarity with various digital buying platforms, such as Google Ads, DV360, Meta, and
- other programmatic platforms.
- A keen interest in emerging marketing technologies and a desire to stay ahead of industry trends.
