Compensation Range: $55.00 - $68.00 per hour


Our multinational technology client is seeking a Level Artist for the team. In this position, you will be expected to partner with other members of the Level Art Team, the Level Design Team and other art disciplines to help make the artistic vision set out by art direction a reality. We are looking for a candidate that has shipped at least one title delivering visually stunning, high-quality levels and looking for a great opportunity to grow with our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the values of The Coalition Art Team supports building a creative, positive & inclusive culture for the studio and Level Art Team.
  • Produce high-quality artwork work and maintain a strong understanding of current-level art creation workflows and future industry trends.
  • Work closely with the Art Leads and other members of the Level Art team supporting the artistic vision laid out by art direction maintaining visual quality, consistency & level performance.
  • Partner with the Level Design Team working together to solve art/design challenges and ensuring levels are both playable and performant.
  • Work closely with the Environment Art Team providing them with detailed breakout sheets and communicating environment set requirements.
  • Using a positive style of communication working with the Production Team and Art Leads keeping them informed of any dependencies, blockers & cross-department challenges.
Qualifications:

  • A portfolio with examples of high-quality environment & level artwork.
  • 3+ years of environment/level art experience with at least one shipped title.
  • Self-motivated, directed with strong time management skills that enable you to work well with deadlines.
  • A strong visual and technical understanding of level creation methods using Unreal Engine or similar game engine.
  • Strong working knowledge of Maya (preferred) or similar 3D modeling software, Substance, Photoshop and Z-brush etc.

Most candidates will start at the bottom half of the pay range, with the upper end reserved for candidates with extensive experience and skills and who live in geographic markets commanding a higher starting pay.
