Our leading financial client is seeking a Learning Consultant for the team

The Learning Consultant will research, recommend, and design content for a variety of learning and performance solutions, and manage development activities for related projects aligned with all of the client's strategies and goals, aiming to enhance employee capabilities, supporting a client-centric environment. 

The focus of this role is to design learning solutions based on learning and performance objectives, job-specific procedures/activities, and measures of success, and then to build those learning solutions in Talent Development’s available authoring (for example, Articulate 360 suite) and multimedia tools. 

To function effectively, the Learning Consultant must have excellent instructional design skills, communication and writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple and competing deliverables, and experience designing content for adult learners in a variety of formats, including e-learning storyboards, self-guided and instructor-led and different modalities including audio, video and animation. The Learning Consultant will work closely with clients, employees, vendors, and other Talent Development team members.



Responsibilities:

  • Design a range of solutions utilizing a variety of approaches to suit multiple learning styles and to achieve learning objectives. Conduct needs assessments, gather and interpret data to identify performance gaps, research and interpret relevant content with Advisors and subject matter experts (SMEs) to make recommendations. Define measurable and achievable performance and learning objectives.
  • Collaborate across functions to achieve understanding of the perceived needs or gaps, then determine appropriate training tools and methodologies such as e-learning, multimedia, virtual workshop, knowledge objects, and blended solutions. 
  • Present content by creating detailed design plans, instructional strategies, objectives, and research results. Create recommendations including content highlights, key concepts, and multimedia ideas. Prototype where possible.
  • Deliver and implement quality learning on time – Successfully complete high-quality learning solutions with agreed-upon parameters, determine success criteria, prepare for effective implementation of learning programs, monitor results of learning programs, and implement updates to improve on layout and content.

Must Have: 

  • 5 years of experience minimum
  • Multimedia (Adobe, Articulate 360 -Rise and Storyline)
  • Adult Learning/Education Certification
  • Instructional Design expertise [E.g., ability to conduct a Training Needs Analysis (TNA)]
  • Workday LMS
  • Project Management experience

Nice to have:

  • Adobe Captivate
  • Adobe Premiere Pro

The indicated pay range for this position is a good-faith estimate based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Additionally, it is emphasized that the pay band mentioned herein is the one established by the client company. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work. Most candidates will start at the bottom half of the pay range, with the upper end reserved for candidates with extensive experience and skills and who live in geographic markets commanding a higher starting pay. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
