Our multinational technology client is seeking an Environment Artist for the team. 

Our client is seeking an inspiring, highly motivated Environment Artist. In this position you will be collaborating with other members of the Environment Art Team, the Level Art Team and other departments to help make the artistic vision set out by art direction a reality. 
We are looking for a candidate that has a proven track record of delivering visually stunning, high-quality levels and collaborating with other disciplines, as well as mentoring and supporting other members of the Environment Art team.



Responsibilities
  • Uphold the values of the Art Team in building a creative, positive & inclusive culture for the level art team.
  • Contribute to the Environment Art team during all phases of production.
  • Creation of 3d assets, high-quality models & sculpts, textures and surfaces. Fixing bugs and polishing in-game assets.
  • Actively accept feedback from the environment art lead and art director.
  • Offer support to our OS reviewers/managers, and external artists if needed.
  • Ability to work well under deadlines; self-motivated and works well in collaborative environment.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Environment Art in video games with at least one shipped title.
  • You have knowledge and experience in AAA game development.
  • You have a portfolio with examples of environment artwork.
  • You can model, sculpt and texture environmental assets and surfaces.
  • You are comfortable with high poly and nanite workflows.
  • You are comfortable with organic and hard surface asset creation.
  • You are very comfortable with Maya or other 3D software, Z-Brush, Substance Painter or Mixer, and Photoshop.
  • You are comfortable with a modern game engine such as Unreal Engine.
  • You possess excellent communication skills.
  • You work well with deadlines and are self-motivated and directed
  • Being open to the idea of hybrid working in the Vancouver studio is a plus.

The indicated pay range for this position is a good-faith estimate based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Additionally, it is emphasized that the pay band mentioned herein is the one established by the client company. Most candidates will start at the bottom half of the pay range, with the upper end reserved for candidates with extensive experience and skills and who live in geographic markets commanding a higher starting pay.
