Work Location: Hybrid, Hybrid //2 mandatory core onsite days per week. Core day is Tuesday, Flex second onsite day per week. 2nd Friday every month. Some weeks are total 3 onsite days.

Our client, a leading financial services company located in Toronto, is looking to hire a Data Governance Senior Consultant.


As Senior Consultant, Data Governance, you will join the Administration’s Transformation and Operational Excellence team to perform data governance activities. You will be a key contributor and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop policies, guidelines, and procedures that align with regulatory standards.



Responsibilities:


  • Relationship Management – Relationship manager and collaborative consultant with business partners for all matters relating to data governance. Understand, review and document feedback on the evolving Data Governance program and its operationalization.  Manage relationships , as well as project and initiative, within the Administration Functional Group. 
  • Business Management – Support the Data Governance team, work in a fast paced environment including the documentation and maintenance of materials that support the data governance implementation including procedure documents. Identify and implement opportunities for improving the efficiency of processes.
  • Understand Requirements – Conduct analysis of processes and functional or reporting requirements to document, communicate the best practices to stakeholders. Support the definition, development,  and ongoing measurement of quality metrics ensuring compliance with data related policies and standards.   


 


Must Have Requirement:  

 

  •         Financial institution experience
  •         Data governance experience - 2+ years
  •         Microsoft office suite// solid knowledge of excel 
  •                 ○ Pivot table
  •                 ○ Vlookups 
  •                 ○ If statements
  •         Presentation skills // STRONG communication
  •         Relationship management 

        

 


Nice to Have:


  •         Experience or working knowledge of workiva 
  •         DCAM (Data Management Capability Assessment Model) Certification
