Work Location: Hybrid, every week Wednesday and end of month Friday

Position Type: Contract, 6 Months (High potential for extension)

Location: Toronto, ON

Compensation Range: 48$hr. to 60$/hr. (subject to experience/qualifications and employment conditions)


Our leading financial client is seeking a Content Editor.


Responsibilities:

  • Act as the English Editorial lead, providing timelines and resource plan estimates (if needed) for design deliverables.
  • Communicate with confidence: You use your powers of communication and consultation to present and revise copy decks at in-person stakeholder review meetings with partners and executives. Your solid interpersonal skills are a must for collaborating with diverse stakeholders, sales leads and internal pod members such as designers, translators and developers.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with cross-disciplinary Agile teams to understand goals and objectives, as well as technical, legal and regulatory constraints. Able to translate complex business objectives into simple language.
  • Ensure that all content adheres to Brand guidelines.
  • Present copy to stakeholders. Ensure deliverables follow the appropriate review and approval process, soliciting feedback as needed.
  • Ensure deliverables are executed on time by making copy recommendations that align with campaign objectives.
  • Collaboration: The role involves stepping into other Agile pods to assist as required when workload in the Agile pods is needed, and managing multiple initiatives at one time, requiring excellent organizational and time management skills. You will be working as part of a collaborative, cross-disciplinary agile pod.
  • Training and developing: You will use your English Editorial experience to train and guide new Agile Editors that join our team.
  • Maintain and Share Editorial Standards and updates with the teams.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience writing/editing for desktop and mobile devices, with a solid understanding of current best practices and trends in the digital space
  • Proficiency in MS Office products
  • Degree in English or Journalism or equivalent experience and certifications
  • Solid understanding of WCAG accessibility requirements and inclusive digital design principles
  • Experience in digital marketing
  • Working knowledge of SEO
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Banking Industry experience or large corporation
  • Paid search experience
  • Agency background is helpful
