Compensation Range: $42–$54 per hour

Our client, a leading financial services institution and one of Canada’s top five banks, is seeking a Consultant, Control Management/Audit. Reporting to the Director, Control Management, the Group Product Manager, Control Management will support the development and delivery of ongoing improvements to secured and unsecured lending product controls.

Key Accountabilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert in developing and executing controls and processes to ensure operational compliance with key regulations
• Analyze and assess complex issues, making decisions on behalf of RESL and Unsecured management to support initiatives and ensure adequate oversight
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business controls, risk, operations, channel partners, and other lines of business
• Review and assess proposals for program, product, or service enhancements and provide recommendations regarding control impact and regulatory effectiveness
• Provide strategic and tactical support to technology/application development teams, business management, and enterprise partners to ensure alignment with standards and guidelines
• Collaborate with Business Controls and Second Line of Defense partners to identify, manage, and test key processes, ensuring controls are well‑designed and operating effectively
• Manage day‑to‑day product oversight to ensure alignment with policies, procedures, and required client disclosures
• Use strong planning, analytical, and communication skills to deliver high‑quality work within tight timelines
• Support additional RESL/Unsecured product initiatives as needed

Must‑Haves

• Minimum 1 year of audit experience
• Minimum 1 year of control testing experience
• Strong understanding of process flows and ability to document processes
• Governance and risk management experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Nice to Have

• Prior banking experience
