Our client, a leading financial services institution and one of Canada’s top five banks, is seeking an Accountant. 

The Senior Manager, BlackLine Capability Hub will assist in leading the process of the configuration, management, and optimization of the BlackLine platform. This role partners with Finance leadership, Technology, and Business stakeholders to build and maintain strong global reconciliation processes to support the client’s financial accounting and control processes across its group of companies.

Key Accountabilities

• Execute on the Global Balance Sheet control strategy to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the client’s Balance Sheet.
• Oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of the BlackLine platform.
• Evaluate and execute onboarding of reconciliation processes onto the BlackLine platform.
• Develop and deliver training programs for BlackLine system users and local administrators.
• Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements and automation through BlackLine workflows.
• Communicate effectively with Leaders and other stakeholders regarding system enhancements, risks, and opportunities.
• Drive adoption of new features and best practices to maximize BlackLine platform value.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Finance, Technology, and Business units for BlackLine-related initiatives.
• Oversee the development and delivery of BlackLine tools and analytical analysis for management and operational decision-making.  Lead change management initiatives for BlackLine system upgrades, new module rollouts, and process changes.

Must‑Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in overall financial systems administration, accounting, or finance operations.
• 3+ years’ experience with BlackLine platform.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong understanding of financial close processes, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills. 

Nice to Have

• CPA designation would be an asset.
• Experience with SAP.
