Our multinational retail client seeks a Business Analyst II  for the team.

We seek a highly skilled Business Analyst II to join the client's Supply Chain Product Management Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing and implementing 3rd Party applications in Canada by facilitating the Solution Security Plan (SSP) process, ensuring the technical aspects of the solutions are accurately documented and compliant with client's standards and policies. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of business requirements and the ability to translate these into viable technical solutions.

Your primary responsibilities will include performing detailed research on various business processes and systems and documenting these processes. Parallelly, you will engage with Vendors to understand if/how their solution will solve business problems and gather documentation of their architecture. You'll work closely with a range of stakeholders including business units, IT developers, and project managers, to optimize business procedures and propose system improvements.


Responsibilities

  • Directly interface with various business units and subject matter experts to understand their business needs, focusing on identifying issues with existing applications and potential areas for optimization.
  • Create and Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, systems, and business requirements.
  • Participate in writing test cases and conducting rigorous testing to ensure the effectiveness of new features and updates
  • Educate business and 3rd parties on IT processes and compliance requirements. Be the champion for following the 3rd Party Playbook process.
  • Support the SSP process by understanding and documenting the technical aspects of the solution.
  • If necessary, liaise with technical associates and external parties to accurately document the solution in the SSP.
  • Ensure that the solution is installed correctly on the network and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise.
  • Maintain and update the solution with the latest versions, ensuring technical compliance with standards and policies.
  • Support technical controls assessments (TCAs) to evaluate the solution's technical controls and security measures.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a supply chain or product management role
  • Strong understanding of technical aspects related to supply chain solutions, such as network connectivity, data transmission, data storage, and access permissions
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external parties.
  • 4-6 years of Business Analysis experience
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple project deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, must be extremely detail-oriented with the ability to document technical information accurately
  • Previous experience with JIRA, Confluence, Wireframing
  • Familiarity with retail standards and policies is a plus.
  • Understanding of Retail/ Transportation/Agile/ PMP/CBAP is an asset
