Compensation Range: $56 (T4) to $66 (Inc) per hour

 

Our client,  global leader in railway and transportation manufacturing, seeks to hire a Bid Efficiency specialist.                                                                      

Responsibilities:

  • In support of the VP Bids & Transformation, we are looking for a Bid Efficiency Specialist to:
  • Propose and deploy tools improvement (costing, template, reporting, SharePoint)
  • Propose and deploy process improvement
  • Support the bid team (all disciplines) in the development of AI assistant and implementation;
  • Improve costing models files (currently mostly excel)
  • Bid tools improvement
  • Integration and automatic consolidation of excel files
  • Improvement of bid costing models
  • Working with Bids team members, identify areas for increased efficiency within the Bid's process and propose solutions. Support the implementation as required.
  • Support bid manager, technical, deployment, finance, legal team
  • Apply AI to bids
  • Become familiar with and manage the ecosystems relevant to the scope of work (VSM: Virtual Simulation Machine,
  • Python Coding Studio, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, …)
  • Elaborate use case strategy based on communicated requirements and in consideration of the available
  • Implement the use cases using different angles of approach and different technics in order to come up with optimized
  • Document each use case and the obtained results in order to capture the attempts that have been made, and review with the bid team (general bid, technical bid, deployment bid), the achievable results.
  • Propose and support the path to industrializing the use cases (making it available to staff with lower AI/programming skills) in order for a larger population to benefit from the successful use cases.
  • Support users in repetitive AI uses cases

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Data Analytics, strong math profile;
  • Experience with Python and other programing technics
  • Experience with ChatGPT or other AI
  • Experience with Excel macro, visual basics
  • Strong Process/Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Strong communication skills (English), strong capability to adapt, must be capable to work in a very dynamic technological Experience with Microsoft suits (Excel, Words, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Nice to have: Some knowledge with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools, preferably SAP;
  • Nice to have: with Scheduling and Planning tools, preferably Primavera and MS Projects
  • Nice to have: accounting principles
  • Experience with bids is an asset

Education

  • Minimum education: Bachelor Degree
  • Experience: 1 –3 years (co-op experience accepted)
