Our client, is seeking an "Associate Procurement Project Manager".


The position is responsible for 



Responsibilities:


Bid phase


  • Support the Bid PPM to prepare and maintain Acquisition Procurement Plan for assigned Proposal
  • Prepare and maintain the Acquisition Plan for low complexity Projects or extensions for existing Customers
  • Support the Bid PPM and the Category team to identify potential sources of supply to support the Bid of Proposal
  • Identify Procurement risk related to the equipment and provide assessment and mitigation under Bid PPM supervision
  • Optimization of the Purchasing Mix (cost, schedule) for the assigned Proposals
  • Launch the RFQ with the Category Manager team in support of the proposal as defined in the Industrial Project Procurement plan

 
Design/Manufacture Phase

  • Be responsible for Project Procurement execution through implementation of the Acquisition Project Procurement plan: ensures convergence of risks, cost and lead times
  • Manage the process leading to timely authorization to purchase or to manufacture Project equipment including spares
  • Follow-up with Engineering to ensure the timely release of hardware designs to enable Purchasing to obtain the required materials by the scheduled due date.
  • Coordinate the activities associated with the timely execution of the Supply Chain and coordinate with the Project Supply Chain Lead for Project deliverables
  • Act as a project Supply Chain Lead  for assigned Projects
  • Participate in the change management process to ensure all design changes released by Engineering are processed by Purchasing in a timely fashion and that the impact of such changes are duly recorded (PCN implementation)


Qualifications:


  • SAP knowledge
  • Advance excel knowledge
  • Project risk management evaluation and mitigation plans
  • To drive Project completion in a timely manner
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple Project at the same time


Skills and Abilities:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Project Management and/or Project based Organizations
  • Demonstrate superior interpersonal written and oral skills in daily relations, negotiations, and reporting
