Job Title: Project / Program Manager
Location: Calgary, AB (Downtown)
Work Style: 100% Onsite
Job Type: 6-month contract
Pay Rate: $68 - $74 per hour

Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Project/Program Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex IT infrastructure initiatives. This role will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle—from planning and execution to monitoring and closure—while ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, and budget.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of project management expertise and technical understanding of infrastructure environments, along with the ability to manage stakeholders, risks, and cross-functional teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
• Manage risks, issues, and change requests, ensuring proper documentation and mitigation strategies
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, cloud, network, and application teams
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and milestones
• Drive adherence to ITIL processes and governance frameworks
• Identify opportunities for process improvement using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reporting

Required Qualifications:
• 8–12 years of experience in Project and/or Program Management
• Proven experience managing end-to-end project lifecycles in complex IT environments
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including servers, Citrix, Vblock, networks, cloud, storage, databases, and desktops
• Hands-on experience with risk, issue, and change management processes
• Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience managing workstation refresh projects
• Experience with Exchange migration to cloud environments
• Background in Energy & Utilities industry
• Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent (preferred)
