Compensation Range: $29 - $35 per hour
Our leading gaming client is looking for Development Support. The Development Support team member works with development teams to provide early testing and documentation creation (e.g. test cases and test briefs, QA Confluence pages) and handles anything that could potentially keep a Core QA team member out of the game. They provide feedback to the QA Leads on the health of their area/feature(s) and the development team on testing their area/feature(s). They are the primary contact for our QA team, fielding design questions from Core QA, and are the initial development team's first point of contact for asks on the testing status or to adjust the testing Core QA needs to complete.
This is a full-time 18-month contract opportunity with a potential for extension and will be working hybrid in Vancouver. (3 days per week in Studio)
Responsibilities:
- Multiple development cycles experience (ideally from preproduction to post-launch)
- Experience writing testing instructions or briefs.
- Experience estimating testing efforts.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and develop/refine skills.
- Strong documentation and organization skills.
- Strong communication skills, comfortable interfacing with QA and Production teams.
Qualifications:- Unreal Engine experience
- Jira, Confluence and SharePoint experience
- Highly experienced action and shooter games
- Candidate has a strong history\background testing Core Gameplay Features:
- Gameplay mechanics
- Menus\HUD elements
- Multiplayer\Online Modes
- Action or shooter
- Debugs for testing
