Job Title: CIAM / Identity Engineer

Location: Brampton, ON

Work Type: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite)

Job Type: 6-month Contract

Pay Rate: $53 - $57 per hour

Job Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced CIAM / Identity Engineer to design, implement, and integrate secure customer identity solutions. This role will focus on modern authentication frameworks, identity orchestration, and seamless integration across web, mobile, and cloud-native environments.

Key Responsibilities

CIAM Platforms & Identity Technologies

• Implement and manage CIAM solutions using Transmit Security, including authentication orchestration, identity flows, and fraud detection services

• Configure and support Okta CIAM / Okta Customer Identity (Auth0 and Classic Okta)

• Design and implement modern authentication methods including MFA, passwordless, and adaptive/risk-based authentication

• Apply identity standards such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, JWT, and REST APIs

Technical Engineering & Integration

• Integrate CIAM solutions with web and mobile applications

• Support mobile authentication integration using iOS and Android SDKs

• Work with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue for CIAM integration

• Collaborate on API gateway, microservices, and cloud-native architectures

• Apply cryptographic concepts including certificates, encryption, token signing, and key management

• Work across cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP

Collaboration & Delivery

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Security, DevOps, and Application teams

• Participate in Agile and DevSecOps environments

• Troubleshoot identity and authentication-related issues

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and SOPs

• Ensure high-quality delivery with strong ownership and attention to detail

Required Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and CIAM engineering

• Hands-on experience with Okta (Auth0 and Classic Okta) and/or Transmit Security

• Strong understanding of authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, JWT)

• Experience integrating CIAM solutions with web and mobile applications

• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Familiarity with API-driven and microservices-based architectures

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CIAM platforms such as Auth0, ForgeRock, or Ping Identity

• Knowledge of fraud detection, bot mitigation, and behavioral analytics

• Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Git, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps

• Relevant certifications in Okta, Transmit Security, or IAM technologies
